what the hell is L I F F ?!?

Our liff dictionary gives words - which happen to be actual names of towns or cities somewhere in the world - to objects and experiences that demand to be named, but never have been. Until now.

Great idea? Thanks, but it is not ours. Douglas Adams and John Lloyd wrote the original books "The Meaning of Liff" and "The Deeper Meaning of Liff". If you haven't read them until now you are missing a lot.
You are invited to browse or search our liff dictionary or even add a liff to our forum. If your liff is a good one, we will submit it to the dictionary.

A short legal notice: all liffs are copyrighted and belong to their authors. Don't mess with that.

This site is done in memoriam of Douglas Adams. Farewell and thank you for the fish....
